My name is Sara Faith Jacobsen and I started Nursing School at
Concordia University in Irvine CA
August 2013. I had the good fortune of being exposed to Pathophysiology
and Pharmacology in Nursing School. Knowledge in the pathology of
disease, and how medications work in the body, proved to be immensely
helpful in supporting her bodies ability to heal from PCOS. She quit
Nursing School in November 2013 to pursue becoming a Certified
Professional Midwife. In January 2014, I was diagnosed with PCOS through
bloodwork testing her hormones and a trans-vaginal ultrasound. It was
discovered that I had cysts on her ovaries and high levels of
testosterone. She was also suffering from irregular periods. I started
the process of healing from
PCOS
through spiritual healing and emotional healing in February 2014. In
October 2014, she re-tested her hormones, and to her delight, her
testosterone was now within normal limits. She also discovered that her
cysts were now completely gone, through doing another trans-vaginal
ultrasound. Having successfully normalized her own hormones, removed her
cysts and getting on a regular menstrual cycle, she knew she could help
other women normalize their hormones, and become fertile again, and
thus
Womb to Heart Fertility Support was born.

I
am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Birth and
Post Partum Doula, Prenatal and Post Partum Massage Therapist and Energy
Healer. I started her journey towards supporting moms and babies in
2007, attending birth doula training with DONA, and started to attend
births in the hospital setting. Also in 2007, I took Swedish Massage
Therapy training with McKinnon Institute of Massage, as well as massage
therapy training specifically for the perinatal time, with Mckinnon
Insitute of Massage, Body Therapy Associates and Alive and Well. In
2008, I started her massage therapy practice, working exclusively with
expectant mothers. I also continued to attend births as a birth doula.
Also in 2008, I completed her birth doula certification, and became a
Certified Birth Doula with DONA. Also in 2008, I completed Lactation
Educator training with Evergreen Perinatal Education and started her
academic year long training with UC San Diego Extension to become an
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. In 2009, she sat for
the boards, and found out October of that year that she passed, and was
able to call herself an International Board Certified
Lactation Consultant.
